Flipper alert - I think I may know that car - need to check the VIN - but if it's the car I think it is a friend of mine recently sold it for a lot less $$

Wow.. It is clean.. but that price is crazy.. I’m sure the flipper will still make out even if it goes for $25k

Do you remember what that car sold for? The '87 I sold last summer was literally identical, (except color), including miles. His was a bit nicer, though.

I will shoot him an email and ask - he was changing up his collection at the time - he has some ultra low mile cars including an incredible 91 RS B4C

Mine was an LG4 as well. I sold mine for $18,500. His was certainly worth $500 more. I believe his door panels were perfect. Plus mine had some paint work done, due to a couple of mishaps from the original owner.

Here we go again with the pricing complaints. I was talking to someone just yesterday about listing my car for around this same number. It's not out of line to anybody except TGO regulars.

I certainly would list your '87 for that price.
This particular car is really testing the market at it's asking price, though. As mentioned above, it was recently purchased for 18.5K and the seller is trying to do a quick flip.

Re: Beautiful, 9K mile '88 IROC-Z
Flippers must not realize the internet has made the world open for trade, but at the cost or price of information. In other words, your marketplace is much larger than ever before, but one can plug a VIN and see history pretty easily.
I recently went after a car which was listed at $25k. Deal sounded like a scam when seller wasn't available to show the car, and it was in a different city... It was for sale about 2 years!!
Anyways, "googled" for that type of car again and the same one with bad window tint and all, sold at auction for $14,800. I missed out.
Checking Google again, I plugged the VIN and searched. Found it at a "dealership" for $27,000. Contacting them on their terrible ad, I mentioned I was interested in the car and would they take offers? Sure, they said...
I offered $19,000, which they declined.
They came back and said they had an offer @ $22k. I suggested they take it, as it was more than I'd pay. They said, they would not sell for that, but had offers. It's still for sale today. $27,000. But going up in value, like all the others.
What's the cost of floor planning, etc.?

30K isn't out of line? maybe to small % of members. I know your an advocate of these cars climbing in value & I have zero problems with that. But 30K is far too much for a 305 iroc thats been driven. If it was untitled & never driven maybe.

That money I could see depending on how the car really looks in person.

I think your car is worth around that much.. This one is a little less special. I think $24,000 would be a fair asking price for this one and I’m sure it would get negotiated down a bit..
