Is it really that much out of line with that mileage? If someone could make a cash offer and maybe get it a little cheaper I don't think it's too bad. And since it's only an RS, great car for a motor upgrade
I won't click the link, but just from the description, and the single pic, if a person wanted a NICE Barney Purple Camaro, that's not a bad buy.
Consider that if a person picked up an average condition, $5k RS or even Z28, they couldn't restore it as accurately to the condition of the preserved car. Even if you approach a thirdgen resto as a "Money is no object" proposition, some parts simply aren't available. In contrast, it's easy to put an LS1 in a car like this, and have a really neat car. It'd just take some ***** and tough love to gut the original drivetrain on a low mile car. Financially, it'd be the more viable approach to 'building' a thirdgen.
I'll be honest with you guys, I never really cared for Purple Haze. I mean, it's okay, but doesn't really attract me like some of the other colors do. I bought my purple '92 'vert because it was rust free SoCal desert car and it was the right price. But once I had it, I noticed people going crazy for that color, especially the ladies.
I just couldn't drive a purple car, too many red ones out there to my liking. I could not stomach paying that much for a car with said drivetrain. That's Corvette $ , L98 GTA $. Nope way overpriced! Even though I'm running the same drivetrain i never intended in it staying in my car as long as it has. This car is too nice to strip the engine out, it would be an ok car for a girl.

Would be a shame to engine swap such a clean, untouched car too.. It’s the right car for someone..

Me too, never really fond of purple. But I will say that I like the silver stripes. Kinda breaks up the purple and makes it a little more tolerable. Speaking of drive train, I was reading the description and under mechanical it lists a 3:42 rear axle? Was this an option for an RS?

I always liked the metallic teal when it's in nice shape. It was a popular color, but most of them were RS's that just weren't well kept.

That was an iconic color.. I remember seeing those RS’s everywhere.. always liked that color on the 91/92
ya it looks like the purple one is just a base rs and your red one was a heritage
I agree Ray, I had the invoice, original window sticker, build sheet, etc for my red ZO3, it was authentic for sure.
That purple haze car appears to be a standard RS
One thing I'd like to point out, I don't believe that the purple and green Z03 cars received a body color grille, just the usual black one. I don't remember about the headlight buckets.
