No knee pad on the console? Kinda expect to see that feature with the rest of the leather bits.
Trouble with early cars is they fall in the gray area between second gens and popular 80's styling. The 85-92 cars really made the 82-84 T/A and Z28 seem pedestrian. Right now would be a good time to buy a car like this, because the market hasn't started coming up yet. I would think it'd be hard to sell this car right now.

$22,995, and they can't afford the $15 hood struts? don't cheap out on the small stuff.

Re: 1,971 MILE 1984 FIREBIRD TRANS AM
what's a realistic asking price for this car?
the car is all dirty and looks like it wasn't stored well. the hood struts don't work, the rear tire was flat and it's missing the knee bolster and radio antenna. i know some of these items are knit-picky but to me these things would be factors when the car is priced so high.

Some sellers feel that a dirty car seems more barnfind-y and therefore worth more money. Okay, fine. But missing and worn parts and flat tires don't.

Re: 1,971 MILE 1984 FIREBIRD TRANS AM
It has CA's newest black and yellow license plate, which is a recently re-released retro plate. And the tags on the plate say JUN 2018, so the car was last registered in June 2017. And it would had to have been running, and running well, to have passed a smog test, which is required every two years in CA. That means it could've been running and tested as long ago as June 2016, but I don't think the black plates came out that long ago. So it's, at least, been running (well) within the last two years.
The ad says the car was "found" in its existing condition, so it sounds like there's a back story.
