Great buy 85 IROC-Z
This seems like a KILLER deal.
85 IROC-Z
26,000 miles
TPI 305
4 wheel disc brakes
Still wearing Gatorbacks
Looks cherry!
All I see wrong with it is it needs one new centercap emblem
$12,000

I damn near pulled the trigger on that one! I sold my Z28 (to a member here) and have been on the hunt.......but I got a different car bought yesterday, and picking it up on Saturday.

I've always been a hardtop guy. I didn't even consider anything but a hardtop when I ordered mine new. With that said, every other 3rd gen I've ever owned has either been a t-top or convertible.

A potential buyer would need to see all the service records to see when the car was last driven regularly, and how long it has sat without being moved; still being shod with Gatorbacks doesn't bode well. As the car is 34 years old, and obviously very rarely driven, it may well need complete fuel, cooling, and brake system replacement.

Re: Great buy 85 IROC-Z
It's been 30 years since i was shopping for a new IROC so my memory may be a little off, lol. Plus I'm not an option package aficionado... with the carpeted interior trim and power seat, shouldn't it have a power antenna? Just curious. Other than the original tires i wouldn't be too afraid of the "maintainence" stuff. This will be the 9th summer I've had mine and have only put like 4k on it. Seems like a good price for the mileage, and a pretty desirable car imho
