Of the last 3 dash pads I shipped 2 were totally destroyed by UPS and one dirt bag buyer tried to return a totally different cracked dash pad saying I sent him a junk pad. Little did he know that I always mark a part I send and take pictures of the part with the identifying mark for just such an occasion. Needless to say he did not get his money back or his junk dash pad!

UPS is a pain to deal with concerning damaged items. Of course they NEVER damage anything! That combined with the lack of integrity of VERY few folks means that I no longer will ship any original GM dash pad. It's just not worth it.

You have none of these problems when the buyer personally looks at the item, holds the item, pays for the item and leaves. This is especially true when you are selling a REALLY NICE GM OEM dash pad for less money than the currently available reproduction.

Now you know why it's local pickup only!!!

I appreciate that it's a clean original part! It's too bad you've had those bad experiences because this is a nice part and it'll be too bad that people who aren't in driving distance from you can't get this to use on their cars!

Agree with 92... How many are looking for a dash pad within driving distance ?

Do a better job packing it and insurance is cheap so you get paid 1 way or the other.

Apparently you have not had to deal with UPS concerning insurance claims for damage caused in shipping. If it were that easy I would have sold this pad a long time ago.

The 2 dash pads DESTROYED by UPS were well packaged (4 inches of packaging on ALL sides) and they still destroyed them. Almost 60 days in each case to finally get paid. And that's with detailed pictures of the package before shipping and as arrived at the end customer. In both cases the customer refused delivery as I required they sign for the delivery and the boxes were that destroyed that they buyer took pictures and requested a damaged delivery be reported. The idiot UPS driver in each case gets MAD as they are in a hurry and they don't want the hassle of filling out the form at which time it becomes MY PROBLEM to prove to UPS that they destroyed my package since I was the "shipper of record".

I might ship 10 more pads and not have a problem you never know. Given the fact that the NEWEST original 82-92 Camaro dash pad is now almost 25 years old it a safe bet that they are a "little" more fragile than the current repo that is offered for sale.

As to your question of "How many are looking for a dash pad"?

Who knows?

All I can say is that EVERY 3rd gen Camaro I see on the street that is NOT at a car show or a Cruise In needs one as they are all cracked. Apparently I am wrong as most 3rd gen owners must not care what their pad looks like!

So it boils down to do you want original or a repo?

You want my original you have to "Come & Get It"!

Apparently since I am now a "unique individual with special needs" for answering the original question of WHY I will not send this dash pad is not good enough for you. You want the last word you got it!

All I want to do is sell the pad and I can care less about Ebay!

My pad so "I" choose the terms. Don't like em. Go buy somewhere else!

Since nobody here is interested in the pad I will delete the original post so you won't have to worry about it anymore!
