Evening, how would it work with the stock shifter having a button in the middle or is that just on our 92 Z? Thanks

it's for a 5spd stick not auto.

For those interested. You can get an adapter that you can put on your automatic shifter to accept these kind of handles. In lieu of pressing the button you just push down on the shifter. They typically have the same size so it really opens up your options. I got one with an acrylic ball shifter on it. The only problem I have with it is that you can just pull it upwards and out. Not a big deal but it's kinda strange not having it fixed in place.
