Hi all, a friend asked me to look into reproducing the shifter **** used for 82 Firebirds as seen on KITT and this is how it came out.
Reproduction of kitt's shifter ****.
It is an easy install on all 3rd gens from 82 to 92 and works as per the original. It would also come with a plain blanking plug for the top where the original Pontiac badge would be. Is this something you guys and gals would be interested in?

They are secured with a grub screw that can't be seen when installed. They can be set at variable heights so no modification is required for different shaft heights. I'll leave this here as an interest thread with an expected cost of $75 plus shipping.
