Re: fixing plastics.. can it be done
yea, 400g is good for that, with plastics i usually use a wet grid comes out smoother and i would go over it with around 800-1000 for a final sanding, there is a primer made for interior parts i would recommend using the SEM paints. could even put a nice protective clear coating on over the paint, but the only problem with painting the interior parts from my exp is that it does rub off, so look at it this way your going to end up prepping, painting..etc half of the parts every few months, or you could buy new ones lol, I am assuming your painting all the plastic interior parts but like kick panels ,door rests and the 1/4 panels in the backseat get ****ed up rather quickly btw last time i checked the SEM paint cans ran around $20 a can expensive but its worth it, or if you just want a cheap job you could even use the rustolem paints they run around $5 a can and they work pretty well also, i restored a mustang awhile back and ran out of the SEM and the paint stored had closed, so i ran to a hardware store and found the rust paints to finish off the dash and everything else. painted it about 5 months ago and just soled off the car last monday...that car left my hands with a perfect black interior when it was originally tan... looked great though
hope this helped you, i worked in a body/mechanic shop for afew years so if you have any questions feel free to ask

btw man, you can use a filler for the deep scratches, theres a bunchs of brands out there, and i forgot to mention it on my last post, there is a texture paint SEM makes it and also of course afew other brands, but it will paint on a texture that looks like the original plastic texure so it will cover up alot of scratches with that paint alone plus if you sanding a part to smooth and have half the part in texture that paint will blend it all together
