i still cant figure out how to
I still can't figure out how to remove my 1992 camaro dash pad. I removed the six or so bolts in the front.. but I can't find whatever else it is that's holding it in. Thanks in advance.

The dash pad or the entire dash? zThe dash pad has 4 of the screws in the defroster vents, and about 6 or 7under the front edge of the dash.

Okay i'll check it out when I get off work. Are they under the dash pad or can I get to them from the top? I'll post later if I find them or not lol

Re: i still cant figure out how to
So I just removed the six screws along the front lip, and it will only lift up a very little bit and i cant even fit my hand under it. and when I looked in, I could see a few screws along the length of the pad near the windshield.. They wear at the end of a brace about 6 or so inches. I don't know if thats them or not.. But I couldn't see anything else.. I guess I'll just have to drop the whole friggin dash lol

It really is as simple as it sounds. The 6 screws under the edge and the 4 in the defroster vent. Take them out and pull out the dash pad. That's it!

Look at the defroster vents through the windshield. There are 2 screws in each vent. You access them form the top of the dashpad. Look at this picture and you can see the screw holes in the vents.

I literally did this in 5mins yesterday while working on installing gauges...
The ones you are missing are the 4 at the very front of the dashpad where the windshield meets it, in the defrost vents.

Ah thanks for the pic scottmoyer. The guy before me must have installed an after market dash pad orsomething. I don't even have those holes in mine at all. I'll try to post a pic tomorrow.. They are the screws i found when I barely lifted the front up, but its almost impossible to get to.. I guess I'll have to mark as close to where they are as I can and drill holes in the top to get to them..
