4th gen seats in 3rd gen
these seats are out of a 1998 trans am i think.... they mount PERFECT as you can see the bracket on the drivers seat goes perfect with the curve on the floor. This is for anyone wondering if it would work or what it would look like. The only difference is the seat back on the back seat is all one piece but still has the same bracket to mount up.

I bought seat covers, then had Smitty's Upholstery in town put them on for me. Guy did a great job.

First thing I would do is attend to that rust on the floor boards. Sand it down and use some POR15 on it if it is not all the way through. Just looks like surface rust from the pics. Do the bottom side also, them paint over it or lay carpet so it is not hit with light, cause that kills the por15.

Re: 4th gen seats in 3rd gen
TGO has had threads on 4th gen seat swaps for 7+ years now! Heck, I've had my 4th gen seats in my car for over 5 years. You just figured this out? Well, glad you did.
Did you get powered driver seat and get it connected? I love the power driver seat!

Re: 4th gen seats in 3rd gen
The power is easy.
In the fuse block, you should have about 5-6 single slots (fuse has two "legs", so they won't go into these slots) ... thewy are marked BAT, IGN, RADIO, LPS.
LPS = Lamps - gets 12v+ when lights are on
RADIO = Radio - gets 12v+ when rtadio works (either ON key position or ACC key position)
IGN - Ignition - gets 12v+ when key is ON only
BAT - Battery - gets 12v+ always (as long as battery is connected)
Power seat will have 2 wires, a ground and a + wire. Ground the ground anywhere. Extend the + wire to one of those fuse slots (crimp a standard 1/4 inch malew spade connector on the end, and stick it in the slot). I used a BAT slot (I think there are 2) - this gives my seat power always - that way I can move it back (I'm tall) before I get into car (like if my short wife was driving before me and didn't set it back so I could get my big butt in there). Make sense?
