5.3L Aluminum Long Block, 799 Heads "L-33" Engine
Hi all,
I yanked this engine out of my Silverado over the winter to drop in a 6.0 build. It ran fine, no smoke, and had 110,000 miles on it. It did have a bit of piston slap when it was cold as most of these trucks get. Truck is a late 2005, so it got the aluminum block, and 799/243 casting heads, 4.8L flat top pistons for higher compression, and a slightly larger cam than the iron block 5.3. I bought the truck with 30k on it, and am religious with fluids and maintenance. I was going to drop this into an 88 IROC I have laying around but can't seem to find the time with all my other projects. Located in northern NJ for pick up - or I am willing to ship this at your expense. Looking for $800 obo.

Cam Sensor is in the back. Its a 24x wheel. This is a Gen3 engine out of the extended cab full size truck - basically an aluminum block LM7. No DOD provisions.
