My Christmas Present (Early) '87 Z28
My husband gave me my Christmas present early - 1987 Z28 with 35,000 miles!!!! I love it!!!! I'm hoping for new chrome wheels for my anniversary present next month. I hope this works with the photos. If not, I'll try something else.

Re: My Christmas Present (Early) '87 Z28
He IS a great guy!!!! I've been whining because I wanted a motorcycle... I think he'd rather see me in this than on a bike, sooooo.....
Anyway, the original owner kept it in the original showroom condition. Nothing has been changed and it's been in a garage ever since. Obviously he drove it a little, but not much!! The interior is immaculate!!! Even the original floor mats. I got the original window sticker from the dealership sealed in plastic, as well as the color brochure... even down to the original key tag the dealership used with the keys. I'm telling ya, I'm thrilled with this car!!!!! I had a '76 Rally Sport in my late teens, early 20s and I loved it. I don't know why I ever let that car go. But this is one heck of a car!!!!!

Yeah, If my girl liked thirdgens as much as I do I would have an excuse to have a GTA as a third vehicle, most likely after I am out of debt I will get one anyways.

Re: My Christmas Present (Early) '87 Z28
Here's a couple more pics.
It's automatic.
No, I don't want to change it since it is so completely original - but I really love chrome wheels. I'm going to think on it and decide if I should change out the wheels or not.

I'd love to see bigger pics of the interior if you have any!
I've just never been a fan of chrome wheels on white cars. Polished aluminum on the other hand...

Re: My Christmas Present (Early) '87 Z28
I'd love to post some photos - but as you can see, I'm having trouble figuring out how to post larger photos. I'll give it another try.
And the more I think about the wheels, the more I'm wavering and see-sawing on what to do. I would like to keep it stock on the one hand because not one single thing has been changed, but I do like that bling bling look also.

Ok. So why did that one come out as a thumbnail that can be opened to a larger view and some earlier came up as an image and you can't open them to make them larger? I don't know what I did different.

85_ZED:
These are the only photos of the interior that I have so far.
Hope they come out as a thumbnail that can be enlarged.

I found a photo of an '89 IROC Z with Polished Iroc style wheels with Comp T/A's in the description. If I post the photo, will you tell me if this is what you mean? If so, they're hot!

Re: My Christmas Present (Early) '87 Z28
The rims don't come "polished" from the factory. You have to strip off the clear coat, wet sand them and then polish them with aluminum polish. It takes some time, but is cheap.
The only downfall is they need more care than a rim that has the clear coat on it.

The interior pics work great, thanks for posting them!
You could always polish the wheels you have now. That's what I did, just polished the edges:

Thanks Codename for the info!
85_ZED: Thank you for the suggestion also! Your wheels look great!
And just how is that you all get those big pictures posted on your replies? I can't

Thanks.
For posting large pictures, you have to upload the picture to a hosting site. I use www.imageshack.us
After uploading, copy the direct link location of the pic (bottom of the page for imageshack), and paste it in between these:
