My 1987 Camaro Sport Coupe
Hey everyone.
Ive been on this forum for a while but never posted pictures of my finished car.
Its nothing too special, but has been completely rebuilt underneath the car, and has a wicked paint job.
All suspension components have been replaced with polyurethane bushings, and everything except the springs and control arms have also been replaced. All other parts were sandblasted and painted.
In terms of the paintjob, me and my dad painted it. First epoxy, then featherfill, high build primer, paint then clear coat. All stripes were painted on as well.
Over the winter, we are going to rebuilt the top end of the motor, and I have a complete ignition system coming within the next week or so.
I dont know how to put this out for Car of the Month, but if this is where it is, I would greatly appreciate any votes.
Thanks
Ben Davis

Very nice SC! Very nice job on the resto. I would vote on this car for a car of the month.
One piece of advice, If you are going to rebuild the top half, go ahead and rebuild it all. 9 times out of 10, if you rebuild the top, the bottom will let go soon after, BTDT. Good luck and please post more pics.

Wow! Another clean Sport Coupe! I'm glad you didn't make it a RS/IROC clone, a nice clean SC is getting pretty hard to find. You guys done a good job on it.

Thanks a lot for the comments. I didn't really clarify on "rebuilding the top end". Im just doing the intake gasket kit and the ignition. Hopefully I don't need to do the bottom too for just that.
I will try to get some pictures of the suspension work up tonight.
Thanks again.

^^ This was with the old junky straight pipes that were on the car when I bought it.

These two pictures are with the new stuff in and the new magnaflow exhaust.
I cant seem to find a picture of the completed front end, but heres some parts.
These are some videos of the car.
This is all I have for now. Looks and drives really good, and under 2500 including the price of the car. Zero rust. Good first car, except the insurance.
Heres a link to a full start to finish very indepth and pictured up build thread for those who are interested, I dont wanna write it out again.
