We are just gradually working on dialing the car in and Kyle is getting used to it. He claimed he was just "putsing" around that lap and was surprised at the lap time.

It's going to be a rowdy road course car. We'll see how it does at LS Fest...

Re: Detroit Speed 1987 Camaro Test Car 2.0

Just a quick update before the car heads to F-Body Nationals this weekend...

The car ran fantastic throughout LS Fest as we made some suspension adjustments and worked on the tune. We were also very pleased at the 1/4 Mile where we laid down a 11.116 @ 130.9mph on our 3rd pass.

Here is a video of the high RPM action...

We originally made this cage for the first test car and then cut it out to fit this car. It was designed and fabricated in house. Yes, it is 1-3/4 DOM .090" wall.

Do you by chance have the part numbers for the different bulkhead fittings that were used for the brake and fuel lines? I wasnt having any luck with their website. Thanks.

Quick update for everyone...

Things have been very busy around the shop so I apologize for not being around much. ScottieDTV.com called in and spoke to our Competition Manager Ryan Mathews about the car when he took some video at SEMA.

Check it out...

Re: Detroit Speed 1987 Camaro Test Car 2.0

I'm thinking of doing a similar setup with my pedals. Can't tell if you guys used the 600 or 800 series, but do you have any tips for how you set them up? I very much like the idea of running a balance bar for brake control.

Also, did you use a fire retardant seal on your fuel sender access door or something else?

They are 600 series pedals. You will definitely have to cut out the firewall and fab in your own mounting surfaces.

As far as the fuel access door, we just have it sealed with foam strip.

Guess I was kind of vague on my question, fabrication was understood and not a problem. Was more curious if you had an epiphany while fabing up the location or distance from driver? I've sat in the car and talked with Kyle on it a bit.

Thanks for the model number Matt.
You will start to see more progress on my car on FB soon. Did a lot these last couple weeks.

Curious at how the tire clearance is going since you have been racing the car? Have they hit the fenders at all?

I think they just put a few drops of black paint into some clear coat and spray it on. A tinted clear.

I wonder how you'd determine the ratio. I think they've found the perfect ratio IMO. Something like that with the digitails boards would be really sweet.

I'll look into it, but I still hope Detroit Speed will respond.

You could try calling the shop and asking. They're pretty easy to talk to and will answer most questions.

You have a point. However I'm not curious enough to call someone and take up their time when I won't be buying anything from them.

I was looking through you signature, seems you and I are in some of the same groups on FB.
