Well after 10 years of missing my IROC-Z like crazy I went ahead and got me another one!

I'm planning a mild build but first a little bit of restoration .

Wow! I didn't expect these many replies...thought this board would be dead. Thanks for all the kudos guys...started this post to document my build. Got some new parts for it already and I'll post pictures soon.

^^these cars are getting a little more valuable. If I had a low mileage Iroc I wouldn’t mod it out, but I would have to second one to tear into.
Seems like Facebook is the place for this type of stuff now but I still watch the forums.

Re: Project: INDIGO 1989 IROC-Z
The odometer is around 62k.
As far as an update I just picked it up from the mechanic shop. All he did was install a makeshift horn so it will pass inspection and replace the idler arm which had play in it. The mech thinks the slight vibration might be old fuel so I added BG44K and filled it up with premium fuel since it was almost empty anyhow. The next step is to get it inspected and registered so I can legally drive it around.

This car has been worked on in the past. MagnaFlow exhaust, accel cap & rotor, different tranny......I'm gonna build this in a tasteful manner...nice resto mod. I buy cars to drive them, this is no exception.

Did a bit of work today. Ran around and got the car inspected and registered. I also switched out the infamous parking lights.

Amazon dropping off some goodies. Eventually I'll upgrade to Hawks HID kit but these will be better than the fogged up factory set.

Looks nice and clean. I've also ordered LEDs for the fog lights and brake lights...

Looks great! Next thing ya need to clean up is painting the headlight buckets black like they're supposed to be.
