1990 formula new daily driver
Went with a friend about 2 months ago to pick it up. Originally he bought it from the original owner. Heard some cool stories about the car and brought it home to be ls swapped . Fast forward 2 months, my friend decides he doesn’t really want it and trades for an iroc I had he did want
Registered it the day after I got it home to finally have a third gen to daily again over the junk 4th gens I had the past year. Car is a 90 formula tpi 5 speed. Has a 3:45 pbr brake 9 bolt which the P.O. swears was the rear in the car when he bought it new. 226k miles but meticulously maintained and runs like new. Hell the doors have zero sag as no one was allowed to leave the doors open for any amount of time or lean on them. Clear has failed but the body is straight.
Plan is to swap to a nicer interior, change the wheels, mount the mecham TA wing I have, and put some of the slp parts I collected over time to use finally. Keeping a build thread to archive pictures and progress like I wish I did with my camaro.

Re: 1990 formula new daily driver
Can’t believe I’ve had this car since July already. Now has 231k on it and no issues besides a broken headlight switch. Haven’t had much to update until tonight. Got ahold of an okish wraparound to use for now. Couldn’t stand the bare look on the back. Just finished up changing the tail light wiring for the 91/92 tails as well tonight. Looks so much better already

Also got a decent (imo) deal on a set of 4th gen firehawk chrome wheels a few weeks back on eBay. They were black chrome but chipped in a few spots On 2 of them. Going to redo the black chrome on those 2 and run them. Usually don’t care for black wheels but it’s a different look I haven’t seen anyone else do on them

Great score! Id love to find a stick car like that to drive daily, after deer season of course. Very cool car and I'm sure a blast to drive!

Thanks
Having a stick car makes me never want a stock auto one now. Even though the car is slow it’s still a whole lotta fun to drive
