I've restored many cars, and I'm going to be completely honest with you.
A 30' paint job is around $5,000
a 10' is around $15,000.
If you want it to look good for 2 years, and keep it out of rain for the entire time.. $2500.

Just an idea for when you get some paint quotes.

For 15 grand the paint better be perfect not a 10 footer.

A good friend of mine sent out his 66 Lincoln Continental for paint and body two years ago.. He brings the car back every spring because it keeps getting, almost a fog in the clear coat, and requires buffing..
That was in the 18,000 range.

I painted my '72 Charger in a barn, never had to touch it. It all depends on who you take it to, I'm sure someone out there could paint something incredible for 15,000, but where I'm at, it's definitely hit or miss.

Do it yourself. I spent about $800 on mine (the black portion - friend of mine does the graphics). No one even realizes I painted it myself. It did take the car off the road for a whole winter though. Not an issue for me. Cost about $800 in materials. Prep work is key.
