I can tell you who not to go to based on personal experience. Do not go to the Darcars shop on Tech Rd. in Silverspring. It took 3 tries to get a simple blend and re clear done even close to passably well, at the expense of further damage done to unrelated panels while they were manhandling my car (2003 Marauder, low mile very clean car too). I won't even get started on my dealings w/ the manager and how I was handled.

If you are willing to go a bit further I have a very, very, very close friend with a shop in Damascus. It's right off Father Hurley/Route 27. He's the one that completely redid my third gen -- actually, he pimped my ride, lol.
He's done all my cars and I buy salvage cars and put them back to new, then keep them! What can I say, it's an addiction...but if you haven't done it yet, it's worth going to him and tell him I sent you. Sam's Custom Auto Body - ask for Mark, the owner. (His dad was Sam - www.samscustomautobody.com)

awesome i was actually up there today, but unfortunately my car will not be ready until the spring. Are his prices pretty reasonable? This sounds like the route I will be going when I get my transmission in; thanks a lot.

Don't want to take the thread over, but...
It's FireWorks Art Cafe and it's right on 27 in Damascus, you can't miss it -- wait, I suppose if you blink you could, lol. So, if you can't find Mark's shop, find me and I'll get you there.
The place is really doing pretty good, first eight months are over and I'm doing better than average for my demographics, so I'm not going to complain at all -- especially in this economy. Now, if it just keeps getting better that would be a very good thing, lol.
Mark's work is great -- visit his website and see what his customers say. People ship their cars from New York, Pennsylvania, Virginia, etc. and leave them at the shop until he can get to them. His priority is insurance work because that's where the money is, but if you can leave your car with him you've got a much better shot at him fitting you in. And if it's a quick job, even better. He recently hired another guy to help him out because he was turning so much work away. Even if something happened between us I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him or continue to take my cars to him.
