ive shipped my car from nj to las vegas twice, the first time i used an enclosed truck service it was $1500 each way the company was
Gran Turismo Motorsports http://www.gt-ms.com/, i got them threw a shipping agent called 1-2 Go 2 Transportation http://www.1-2go2.com/home.html they can help you also with open car carriers.

Yikes this is an old thread lol. Deal on that car fell through.
But I just picked up a car in Colorado and had it shipped 700 miles to Oklahoma for $400 !!! I found a "backdoor" trick to USHIP lol
Here's the trick:
Post the car on uship and let the carriers bid on it, Once you find a low bid carrier that you like check out their feedback and if all is good, do a google search for them and find contact info, then contact and tell them you're the person on USHIP with "this car" , 90% of the time they will work out a better deal with you VS going through the typical USHIP B.S
I have done it several times and have saved $$$$$$$$
