East Coast Supercharging

Hey guys, I was wondering if anyone ever got any work done by East Coast Supercharging in Cream Ridge , NJ? They mostly only work on lsx vettes and camaros and the like from what my friend told me and what I've gathered. But I don't see why they wouldn't be able to work on a third gen. Just trying to see if anyone has ever gotten any work done from them, cuz I've heard nothing but great things about them, but only about lsx motors it seems. Thanks

Re: East Coast Supercharging

Most of these companies started out on the SBC, but with the advent of the LSX, you don't really hear too much about their SBC work anymore. Both ECS and VetteDoctors, both of them come highly recommended. I know a few guys that have had work done through ECS, they're a very professional outfit, and all of them had nothing but praise for them...

I got my vette's trans rebuilt there and also got a tune there. They are a stand up people. A good shop that will make sure you leave happy. What kind of work are you trying to get done?

I want my full exhaust install done by them. Headers back. My guy who does my work said it's a pita for our cars to do headers.....mainly cuz he has no patience haha. Plus he wants too much money for it. Most of the stand up shops by me want to much. My friend is getting his full exhaust on his 02 z06 done by ecs and the price is more than reasonable. So I'm looking to get my dyno dons soon and go to them for the rest

Sweet. But they do do work on thirdgens? If they can do work on LS motors...they can do work on anything. Thanks for the replies

Re: East Coast Supercharging

Well actually ECS kinda said they couldnt do it. Their main clientel is vettes, and pretty much late 90s to present day ones. So i never got a price or anything, but i dont see why they wouldnt dyno your 91... give them a try. Also, they recommened me to Corvette Paramedics, which is quite a drive from my house.. but well see. they definetley do work on our cars from what i read on their site. They sound like great guys, so hopefully i can go with them.

Re: East Coast Supercharging

Since Sandy hit, i havent done anything with the car. :/ havent had the time or money. but thanks for the suggestions. Theres a shop by me called BBC speed and machine who have gorgeous cars at the shows i go to. Mostly chevelles and camaros but their work is excellent, but expensive. or i wouldve went with them a long time ago. I dont like paying out the a** for work when i know i can go somewhere else for cheaper, but its a drive for most places. hopefully after the winter i can finally get this done since ive been waiting for a while

Vette doctors also doesnt bother to touch LT1s either. I tried to get my LT1 tuned there and they said no. Didnt even seem interested in the business or doing a supercharger install for me with a second tune again...

oh well.

Tpi is fairly easy and not complicated. Not sure why noone wants to tune them anymore. If you can tune ls you can tune tpi haha.

I met ECS guys at a vette show many years ago and they are good guys

Re: East Coast Supercharging

The headers aren't bad just depends on the brand you use, I've done several installs. I Used Mufflex exhaust in NJ several times for exhaust and would recommend giving them a call.

Morganville is in Marlboro, Monmouth County, Central New Jersey. I live in Old Bridge, Central New Jersey and I pass by Ida's Automotive every single day, they are five minutes from my house. For those who don't know, Ida's Performance wrote the TPI-101 article found in many magazines....

I will definitely. Won't be going there for about another month or two though. Still gotta order my headers from Dyno don and then set up a date to get the car done at Ida automotive.

Dyno Don is making the headers now. Spoke to Bob Ida and hopefully gonna set up a date sometime at the end of next month. And a sweet tune he can give me.

Re: East Coast Supercharging

Well... My plan for Ida fell thru and I ended up going to No Limit Performance in Keyport, like twenty minutes from me. Went there for an estimate yesterday, they have the car today. Nice guys, and lots of experience. Should get the car back tomorrow and hopefully become a future customer to them. would've been nice to get the tune from Ida though :/ in time maybe..
