Well Had a very productive day today. In between watching the drag races this morning and trying to get home in time to watch then this evening. I was able to get a bunch of stuff done on my car today.
I pulled the rear end out and dropped down the exhaust so I could finish weld it up. It came out quicker then I expected and I did not get any interruptions so I was able to get the entire assembly welded up today. I still need to get it put back under the car and attach the muffler and tailpipes.
As some of you have probably read I built a 3" to 4" single exhaust system with a custom spintech muffler. The entire exhaust system is out of stainless.
I also was able to get the 9" done so it is now completly ready to bolt in. Brakes were a bit of a pain as he DS caliper hit the panhard mount. The rear brakes are 12 1/2" x 1 1/4" 4 piston caliper disc brakes. I am not using an e-brake for my car.
I also fabed up a custom support to brace where the TA mounts to take out some side loading.

So I went to put my rear end back in the car ths evening and found out that the drivers side real brake was bound up. When I purchased my housing from Currie I checked it out with a rear end jig for building housings. It turned out that the drivers side was off center about an 1/8". So I cut the end off the new housing and put another one on. Not thinking that this would shorten up the rear end by about an 1/8" on that side. So I had done all of my measurements for my brake brackets and shims on the pass side since the panhard bar mount was out of the way. So tonight I got to take the whole thing back apart and remeasure everything and cut some new spacers. Now it is perfect and all dialed in. In the next coupld of weeks the resst of the parts should arrive and I might be able to get it up and running. I am going to send out the Lemons headers out to HPC to get coated and the two boxes of misc parts out for powder coating...
Who knows it might even venture out to Sac raceway for a few laps. I am mostly building this car for the silver state races but the drive train is HD and can take a few laps.
