My boys were all sorts of wild checkin out all the cars and one guy let them in his 40 business coupe and climb around. Its was a good time. When is the next Setum up jacks get together? I dont know if my car will be even close to ready but not sure. Im tryin to put together 2 GTA's into one.

I will join you in the spring, the GTA is going for paint over the winter, and getting the 383 refreshed also. Its not so pretty rite now, definatly not car show werthy even as a "under construction" car.

The show in Lawrence today was spectacular--wonderful weather, a ton of great cars, loads spectators and some pretty cool music. All in all, it was the best show of the season for me personally. I especially enjoyed the downtown venue. My hope is that Rev It Up will use that South Park section of Mass in the future. I was the only thirdgen, of course.

Re: Third Gens in Kansas?
For the hell of it I thought I'd chime in here, I went to College for four years in Kansas, at McPherson. You guys should hit up the annual campus car show there. Surprising what you see, and you never know who will show. We had McKeel Hagerty himself show up with his Porsche. Roger Morrison also has shown up. There are a couple of third gen owners there. I know of a 92 Heritage edition camaro, a 91 RS with a V8, a 87? RS and an 83 Z28, my 84 TA was not there I wish I had it there though. And the same guy who owned the blue 87? RS camaro had a 82 TA that was modified. Damn that thing was fast. Cars come and go naturally, but for a few years you might meet up with some fellow out of state third gen owners.

Wichita here.
been a part of the board for a bit, gathering info for working on other peoples cars, but just picked up my own 92 RS. looking forward to spending more time on here as I have a 406 swap in the works and I will be needing tips and tricks on making the swap easier.

Re: Third Gens in Kansas?
swapping the engine/trans. should be the easy part and will have plenty of guts to move the car around. it pushed a 2nd gen t-top trans am to some solid 10.40's with a best of 10.28. making a couple of changes though, gonna put it on e-85 to make it more street friendly, and gonna have to put a different rear end under it to get it to stick. my biggest concern is with the electronics, I am not sure what to keep and what to take out.

James, the wife and I just missed you guys in Holton this weekend. You were pulling out as we were getting there. Didn't have the car out, too hot, and my AC compressor is still sitting on the shelf!

Re: Third Gens in Kansas?
My wife and I talked about it, but decided to leave it at home, i been driving it around town without any exhaust at all just open headers, the local law frowns on that and have been hangin out at the end of my street speed trappin. We came down on the Harley. I bet it was you I saw leaving, I saw a Camaro turn south on Harper as we were rolling up on the stop light.

Re: Third Gens in Kansas?
I was there also, without a Camaro. I had my 2011 Curze Eco. You parked on the other side of the Impala wagon from me. I saw you go up to register and then I guess you went in to eat.
I went in to eat a bit later and you have left when I came back out. It sounds like we missed each other by about 10 - 15 minutes.
Anyway there was a good turnout with a good variety of cars. Nice to see all of them.

I'd love to check it out, but I think we have to work OT this weekend. Besides, I don't think my Z would be up to par for that far of a drive yet....hahaha...

Re: Third Gens in Kansas?
The Rev It Up show was the best that I've attended this year (and last). Far more cars this year--so many in fact that another block both north and south was opened. Beyond the north block across the street, cars were jammed in a parking lot. One west side street and a second lot on the east side of the park were also used. The weather couldn't have been better. My favorites: a Suburban, an XKE, and a Matador (which looked fresh off the showroom floor).
No other thirdgens of course. I had a lot of lookers and some took pics.
All in all a terrific day.

Re: Third Gens in Kansas?
Im in manhattan, just registered for the boards because i picked up a running 1991 Camaro RS with 84,000 miles on it for 300 bucks, it was driven into a ditch and has some damage. But I think with some love and money it could look and run great. The guy i bought it from said he was going to scrap it, just so he could get caught up on rent. I wouldn't have been able to sleep at night if I let him do that to this classic piece of American muscle.
