another example of a small progect turned huge

well last thursday i planned on changing my spark plugs, but a little misshap occured. the car sliped off the jack and landed on my damn center link, bending the hell out of it and putting a huge gash in my oil pan. needless to say, there is no longer enough clearance for the crank with out it rubbing. i needed to change the oil pan gasket anyways, so 30 bucks for a new cheep summit crome one wasnt too big a deal. the big deal is the whole lifting the engine ordeal and all the time consumming crap i gotta take off. so i decided to put the car on jenny craig as long as im in there. no more AC or smog pump. also, as long as the intake is off i might as well put in the ported plennum SLP runners and AFPR........ ergh does anybody else have every small progect turn into a big ordeal?

Couldn't have said it better myself. I did the same thing in autoshop and I had to deal w/ my a$$hole teacher making an example of me to the class.
