Less than 2 weeks left .

I'm starting to get excited . Looking forward to the party and getting to meet a bunch of 3rd gen owners . We have a club called Team3rdGen here in St . Louis but it is small , so it will be nice to see so many people and cars together at once . Anyway , looking forward to meeting all you guys and seeing the cars . See you there .

I can't wait for this party! I am in the process of restoring a 88 Formula with a 305 in it. Its pretty much a complete stock car, but I need to find some things for it still, and I hear this will be the place to find some parts, well at least I hope so! I would also appreciate advice from most you thirdgen owners on parts or whatever advice I could get from you guys. I am also looking forward to seeing some paint jobs, since I do need to choose what color I will go with, and since the car won't be done by the party, I talked a buddy of mine into bringing his bird! One of the best things about this gathering is that its about five minutes away from my house. I am getting so pumped for this party and I hope many others are!

Thanks Jim, and I'll see you there!

i've done basically everything to it.

re'cammed the motor, new intake, holley 750 carb, 1/2" fuel line, 3/8" return line, mallory 3 port, holley blue pump, fuel tank sumped, new struts/shocks, 9 bolt rear end, no sway bars, stainless braided brake hoses, poly a-arm bushings, poly motor mounts, poly trans mount, new pads, rotors(4 wheel disk), trans built up, trango shift kit, boost valve, vette servo, all autometer guages, cowl hood, the list goes on and on....it's been a busy year for me. hoping to get a cage and subframes welded up before thirdgenfest as well....we'll see if that works out.

sounds like you guys are pumped up about it. i just got out of the garage tonight....broke the garage door spring decided it was a sign to stop working tonight. Did get a chance to remove my electric choke for now, since it's too warm out to even need a choke ~60+ degrees now. Now i don't have to wait 3 minutes to drive it anywhere....should make tuning it that much quicker as well. Wish you all luck on yours as well.

8 days left and the problems are NOT figured out yet. I removed the choke so i don't have to mess with the fast idle linkages for now. one less thing to worry about. will be adjusting floats, idle mixture, and idle all over again tomorrow based off maximum vacuum in gear....we'll see how it like that setup. I will be trailering the car to denny's....but i've known that for quite some time now. Not only do i have this car to work on but also am helping my buddy turn a rolling chassis into his drag car in 2 week for denny's as well. Hopefully we'll fire it up tomorrow open headers at his shop and wake the dead like i did in my court

then i need some exhaust welded up as well, can't use long tubes and an h-pipe as a "street legal" exhaust just yet. Will post progress remarks on the chicago board sometime this weekend since i'm finally off on sat/sun !!!!!

I'm glad to hear everybody's cars are going together rather smoothly. I wish things were going as good for me. I started the job of installing SLP headers on my car and while I've got the manifolds off I thought now would be a good time to install some valve seals. So far I managed to break a bolt off in a head. I got lucky, it's the farthest one back on the pass. side where there's two and the headers use the second one forward. I mocked the headers up and the Y pipe is not going to work with my subframe connecters that are welded in
I managed to get the valve seals done today and tomorrow I'm going to continue the header,Y pipe fight. Once all thats done I'm adding a BBK AFPR and I still need to wash, wax the car and see what I can get done on cleaning the wheeles.I'm glad mother nature's cooperating or I'ed be screwd.Did I mention I was wanting to convert the rear brakes over to the 1LE style before heading to Dennys.
Guess I'll be burning the midnight oil most of next week.

I forgot to add that at my real job I've got to have a semi tractor painted and be ready to be picked up by Wednesday. If someone catches me dozing off at Dennys just smack me on the back of the head, I'll understand.

Hope all you guys get your cars running and ready . I just got back from a ride in a 1922 T-bucket roadster with a 440 with 670 horsepower without the nitrous on . The guy builds motors for Kenny Schraeder and some of the local dirt- trackers . Cool guy and sweet car . I am going to try and get him to biuld my next engine . Will have to talk to him more later though , as he was getting a pretty good Bud Light buzz .

Man I can not wait! LOL This is my last week of school and what better way to end it than with a 3rd gen car show? Just need to wash and wax one more time and vacuum. I am going to try to get it looking almost brand new and put my window sticker on the window. This is going to be awesome. I hope all you guys are pumped as I am or more!

I'm ready, this is gonna be a blast. The cars almost ready, just gotta get her cleaned up and get the brakes swapped out.
Hopefully Mother Nature's gonna let this happen. The only thing I'm worried about is if it gets rained out and reschedualed the turn out will be small.I hope Denny's yard doesn't hold water, I know mine looks like a swamp rite now.
