Dzus fastened hood questions

Guys I have ordered my lift off hood and am needing some ideas/pictures from guys who have a dzus fastened hood. How did you mount your brackets for the front of the hood? I have a few ideas but, would like some input as to where you have yours mounted. Thanks!

Re: Dzus fastened hood questions

The only thing keeping me from getting a complete lift off hood is that it's just about a 2 person job to get it on and off because the hood is so big.

Normally, there are 4 Dzus fasteners along the sides and 2 or 3 across the front. Install brackets any way possible to attach the retaining springs.`

I'll live with my 2 hood pins and the factory hood hinges and shocks. With the fuel cell under the hood, I need to open it after every run.

Re: Dzus fastened hood questions

Always have at least one other person with me since my wreck....had the factory hinges and pins with the last hood (steel, with cowl scoop) wanted to go light so I went with the lift off. Already have my four down each side just trying to find a good place for the 2 in the front.

Re: Dzus fastened hood questions

build a bracket that goes between the headlight support and the radiator support that has the tabs/retainer on it. Like this:
