New best, but still no 12's.
Ran the car again tonight and got a new best E.T. and mph. Previous best was a 13.3 @ 110.16. Tonight I ran a 13.1 @ 111.83. DA was around 1080 then. The car wasn't very consistent tonight with mph. Or I wasn't consistent with my shifting. The 111 pass I never let off the gas. I had my rev limiter set at 6700, but it still got to over 7,000 during the shift. Kinda scary. Still really need slicks, just no money. It also needs more gear. I'm getting it to hook a little now and the motor bogs for a second. I need to keep the rpms over 4,000 and I don't have the gear for that right now. Hopefully I can get 4.30's soon.

Well congrats...you have mph for 12s...so good luck on getting there.
I think your shifts and launch are holding it up...along with the gear. But youll get there.
good luck!!!

4.30's, 26" Stiff wall ET Drag slicks, and you'll be running low 12's. You're making good horsepower, just need to get the rest of the drivetrain in line to use it efficiently. The 3.50 gears are too tall for good track times though. You'll notice it even more if you get slicks, bog city.

Any reason in particular you went with such a tall gear while still having a T56? I can run comfortaby at 80mph and 2300rpm with my 4.30's, the T56 really makes deep rear gears a no-compomise situation. Plus, at the track the 4.30's really perform and are much easier on parts.
BTW, I checked out your cardomain, real nice build. Great work all around.

I've got a 9" rear with a junkyard center chunk that I added a Detroit Locker too. The 3.50 gears were just what was in it when I got the chunk from the yard. At the time I put the 9" in, it had a TH350 trans in it. So the 3.50 gears were nice for cruising. Now that I have the 6 speed, I want different gears. My RPM will be slightly higher than yours I think becuase my T-56 is out of a 03 Cobra which uses slightly different ratio's, but it still wont be bad. I'm hoping in the next few weeks I can get them since gears really aren't that much money. I'm a driveline tech at a Ford dealership so intall is no big deal.

IIRC, the Cobra T56 has a .80 5th and .63 6th, so yeah, its slightly different.
Gears 1-4 are the same ratios as the 93-02 F-body T56.

That is correct. But since mine is definitely not a DD, I dont mind spinning a little faster on the highway since it doesnt see much highway time anyways.

I think 4.30's are a good gear with the 6 speed. I try not to spin my motor past 6400 rpm which would let me run up to 116 mph on a 26" tire or 125 mph with a 28" tire. But still only be at 2800 rpm at 80 with my Cobra trans .63 6th gear and a 26" tire.
