Looks great, should give you some downforce. I’m still working on my chassis, only have 20 tubes left to cut and notch.

Few updates on the car its back on the ground. Doing final interior mock up then back apart for chassis paint and reassembly and some wiring action.

Re: 91 tube chassis project

Just wanted to show you how your build inspired me to tackle something I probably would not have tried. I had to replace my interior over the winter, the old aluminum floor and tunnel was cracking and bowing like crazy.
After tearing it apart it was obvious it had no support and was only being held together by rivets.
I used square tubing and added plenty of support for the new floor and tunnels, so that would not happen again. It now also has the added benefit of being able to remove the driveshaft and transmission tunnel for easy access to all the bolts.
I cant wait to see yours finished. thanks again for sharing your build.
Next step for me is a complete re wire of the car.

I look forward to seeing progress on your car. Helps keeping me motivated to work on mine. I like looking at the similarities and differences. I just mocked up the jig to mount my struts and locate my front bars. Im using 58 inches as a track width ( hub face to hub face). What track width are your struts mounted? Thanks for all your help!!!

It’s not yet got back from blaster yesterday. Had some family issues but all is ok now. Gunna finish 3 small details then drop off at painter next week.

It’s definitely been a hot one! While chassis is getting painted I’ll square away some clean up on the body and more weight reduction.

Re: 91 tube chassis project

yeah,it never seems to matter how much you make the company, just how much they pay you.
it truly is surprising how many employers disregard their "supposed" greatest assets
(the ones who actually do something that makes the company money)

the idiots at my work seem to fall all over the guys who claim to be amazing
(but aren't and need constant hand holding ,make massive costly mistakes, take forever to do simple tasks and can not seem to work without brand new tooling AND A FULL TIME BABY SITTER)
but management will predictably ignore or pass over the guys like me who have true skill and can do complete jobs with no outside intervention using what is currently on hand.

you would think they would pull their collective heads out of their a$$e$ and look around to see what is REALLY HAPPENING
but they never do,Its always rules (and ridiculously blatant favoritism)that apply to different people differently depending on who
is whose buddy and who is blowing who)

sorry about the rant, nevertheless i can sympathize and relate

Well, it has been 1 1/2 months since we saw your chassis come back from paint. So is the car all back together yet?

Well kinda..... lol it’s in a new shop at a buddy of mines that asphalt races super late models. I just got in a big order of parts and assembly and some in house powder coating has started. Along with more weight removal and body prep for paint. Post coming soon hopefully with more pictures of progress.

Re: 91 tube chassis project

That’s funny, I help my buddy build and dyno 358 dirt mods for the DIRT series, Glad your making progress on the car, I’m still working on my chassis. Mostly front suspension right now. The upper strut mount was tough, I used the flat plate style , not as clean looking as yours, but it should work fine.

Re: 91 tube chassis project

Ok so I know I’ve been lacking on content on my thread and unfortunately it’s all my fault cause of work school and life I’ve been busy. But I have been busy with the car also. I’ve started a somewhat small side business also doing some powder coating. So if you guys need any small bolt on parts valve covers intake manifolds I can quote you guys fixed up! Gunna post some pics of what’s been going on with coating and the car!

A arms engine limiters and 4 link bars all done

Those arms look fantastic, I am waiting for mine to come back from the machine shop wear I’m having them TIG welded. I noticed that you put a new front motor plate on and moved the engine back a couple inches. Did it scale up better that way?
