V6 springs in bracket car

I've seen where people have used the v6 springs in the front but when I look them up it seems there's a bunch to choose from. I want to know which one's people have used (part number)

Re: V6 springs in bracket car

I ran V6 springs for a few years when my car was still basically stock. I just went to the junkyard and pulled a set from a car. I use Moroso Trick springs now.

Springs hold the weight of the car up at ride height. The shocks do all the work. Too light a spring and the weight of the car compresses them too much and you don't want them compressed enough to get coil bind when the front end bottoms out. Too stiff a spring and the weight of the car barely compresses them and the shocks do very little work.

Re: V6 springs in bracket car

90/10 struts would be better..and ya could keep your stock springs..

unless you are tryn to save money.

Re: V6 springs in bracket car

I had a V6 and swapped a 385 in it the other day. Still have the V6 springs. I didnt notice much of a difference but it does seem to sit lower. But on a launch it feels the same. I have lakewood 90/10 struts and 70/30 shocks without a roll bar in the front. It comes up and stays that way when launching. Even before the V8 swap.

I have Global West #4256 Street/Drag front springs.
But nobody seems to anything about them.
