Most tracks i go to, also have their own stations. Good info, and if your a rookie, it helps to calm you down some. Until the lights start flashing.

Re: 892 horsepower.. on the dyno.with Video

was going to tig up 20AN fittings to the Champion Radiator.. but when I took a look at there site..found they will build a unit with a set up to take the O ring fittings so I can install them..so I just orderd another unit..this time polished.. and they told me the 2 core cools better then the 3 core. LARGER tubes in the cross flow...(I know) so ok make it a 2 row..with 20AN fittings and polished.. (so I have a 3 core champ rad new in the box) that will sitting with other parts...

also orderd a 4th set of 325 50 15 tires...nittos (we will see how they work) 2 new tires for under $370 shipped..lol.(never pass up a good deal). just got a email today the weld Beadlocks are on the way.. (its been 1 month almost to the day. I put in the order...
been picking off small no seeums (small parts)
20AN fittings(4) and SS hose for the cooling.. orderd 5 feet of hose..looking at the old hose looks like 4 foot will do...want to make sure.
T stat Housing with 20AN fitting..
got the blowout plates from Wilson manifolds ..
set of billet aluminum lug nuts.. front and back...(track time)

I so want to order the drive line..(can make a guess) with in 1/4" but it is $1300..lol its killing me!!

Re: 892 horsepower.. on the dyno.with Video

I have a set of MT E T Streets in 13.5x29x15(slicks).. and a set of MT Drag Radials 325 50 15..and a set of MT sportsmen pro's in 13.5 x29 x15.. this 4th set..nittos wanted to try out.. I have 3 sets of rims for the back of the car.. 1 set weld RTS...1 set weld RTS bead locks..1 set weld drag lites(from the 90s).. all are 15x10 with a 6.5 back space...this is what happens when you like to shop!

all the tires I have are new..so I can try a few diff ones out...at this time im doing a 4th 3rd member also aluminum like the other 3 but this one is set up for 3.89 gears..also a locker...so cheap to put together...($850 for this one)
might pick up a set of Hoosier's to try out..anything I dont like in the tire dept..ill use on the street.for goofing off..(sports men pros like)
wish the goodyear drag radials were still for sale...love the look and good to play with..

might go to a 17x10.4 rim with a 6.4 back space..to try a bit more room around the rear brake caliper..but the tires are more money...but the bead lock rims run $2300 a set..lol and tires about $300 ea anybodys tires...that's a lot of cash to just try them out.. im also taking the winter off....work related injury.(left hand)..so I have time to get it bolted together...I hope..should be back to work some time in jan/fed ...been off from work for over a month now...got to go to SEMA...and spend a week in my home town...Vegas...
I will say I need to put the PC away...as shopping is way to easy....OMG....

Re: 892 horsepower.. on the dyno.with Video

I agree, Nitto drag radial is garbage. Shouldn't even be allowed to call it a drag radial.

I've concluded the Mickey Thompson is the only real drag radial that can be safely driven on the street. The other good drag radials are track only tires. The Japanese tires are a joke. If you drive on the street it's Mickey Thompson or don't bother.

If you just want to burn something off, stick a set of these on there. 275s are still plenty of tire for a 10" rim and in that size you wont have to buy a drag radial.

just to go out and burn up..that is a cheap @$$ tire...but small..to much like everybody on the street.. and remember Nitto has 2 types of drag Tires.. soft drags TO50R and the semi soft Drag N555R not as soft but better then everyday tires more like the Comp T/A from the 80s
but you guys know this..right..but I bet its the N555R everybodys been getting... or tried.

Re: 892 horsepower.. on the dyno.with Video

a few updates some more upgrade parts came in.. had a reg 3 core aluminum radiator made for the car..still new in the box...but wanted AN fittings. after looking at there site..seen they will add any fitting .. so I ordered a 2nd one made this time with 20AN fittings.. and might as well polish it also...
with a Hi Flow Electric water pump that runs at the same speed.. I set the new rad up with 2 core. ea core is 1"wide.=.more flow across ..starting off with a 160 deg thermostat & dual Fans..will go from there..with a Aluminum block and heads..I don't think heat with be a problem...when I had this new unit made..I told them what I had and going to use the car for..the makers told me to go with the 2 core.. faster flow across the unit.as the tubes are larger...if it don't cool.. they will make me another...on there dime....so whats to lose...give it a shot..

the one on the right is up for sale..3 core set up with 4AN over flow..and 1/8NPT aluminum plug in the Low coolant bung..

will remove the smugs before install..

looks better with true AN fittings

this unit is for sale..new in box with or without the 4AN fitting for the over flow

awesome. I always enjoy updates on this thread

whats your sale price on that other radiator?
- I don't need one now, but might for the new engine next winter. I am currently having OVERCOOLING issues.. but I was just curious what you would be selling it for.

they are so low priced it would be hard to sell...might have to add a few other car parts with it.. to make it worth shipping...and still make it a good deal...
