I'm not sure if it is a Cyberdyne or Nordskog. It says Intellitronix part #4003 on it. Ony thing wrong with it is the reset trip button is loose. $300 shipped in US

That is a nordskog digital dash. I have on in my 84 z. and yea.. it is commong for that reset button to be loose. Mine was nice enough to come with a remote wire set for a rest switch to which i set up to a momentary switch and mounted in the blank under the head light switch. I removed the original switch because it is a pain in the neck anyhow and not very well put together *shrugs* but then i don't think many switches like that are good.. the hardest part of the nordskog set it getting the thing wired up, since the wires that they say are in our harnesses are not always the color that in reality is there. It's a good setup.. as long as you know where everything is that needs to go where.. However, if you need to get the mechanical speedo adapter for it (goes from mech to electronic then to dash) find a better place to get that thing.. the one for nordskog does not fit correctly on t-5 transmissions, as thier fitting is to long.

np. it is a decent digital dash though and that button is really easy to fix. they also carry a good warranty so you can send it back in and have them fix it for you for free most times. the only thing that i really did not like with the thing was that if you turn the cluster lights up (if you do not remove them) you can see the circuit board through the smoked plastic overlay.. so you have a green cluster with red readouts lol.. and green bar readouts around the tach and speedo.. looks interesting sometimes, but not enough for me to like it. the different speed clocks on it are nice though.. always nice to know what your mph at the 60ft 1/8th and 1/4 are

the OD will say 0 miles.. the speedo is green leds up until i think 55 or 60 when it turns red. the leds for the tack are green up to about 5000rpm then red... the readouts are all red digital readouts.

(the OD is resetable to 0 miles at any time.. even if it had gone 200000 miles, once you reset it to work with your car, it will go abck to 0 miles)

Installation, there is a pc of paper that comes with it that tells you what each wire on it is for.. after that you have to figure out wire wire in the harness you need to connect it to (seems gm used a few different colors in our cars for the same thing.. and many manuals like haynes are not even 100%)

LOL. i hope you have tons of patients.. for you you will need to get a vss for your tranny.. I have one i bought from them.. but of course it does not fit right.. the retainer clip actually gets in the way.. other than they trying to figure out all the wiring and such is a pita.. especially without the piece of paper it came with to tell you what is what on the waires in the back of the board... (u would be surprised at how many times the wires in one place went to something different than i thought.. (i have it in my z28. nice if you can get everything wired in right.. and get the stupid speedo to read correctly, although it is not the dash's fualt.. that is something to do with in my tail houseing...) But the biggest thing since you have an old car like me is you will need a vss module from a late auto car or manual car, depending on what type of tranny you have. It will make things alot more nice for you.. Also. if the button thing broke off (like is common) you can actually send it to nordskog and they will fix it for you.. for a fee i think. not alot.. since they will emove that and install a remote wire set and give you a switch for that)

I would like it for my 91 rs convertible. Would it work with my gas, tach, odometer, speed , water temp, oil press., and voltage guages or is that dash for earlier 3rd gens. I dont know. Let me know. My setup is as typical as any other RS.
305 TBI, 700R4, 2.73's which none of that probally makes a difference.

It should work with ANY car actually.. as long as you can get it in there. You need an electronic speed sending unit.. actually eerything has to be electronic for it lol. So yea, your car should be just fine for it's use. No worries about switching gear ratios or anything either. you switch your rear. you just recalibrate it and your good.. no messing with those darn speed gears in the tranny.

Uh. If you have a 3rd gen i can just about guarntee it will work.. all it does is plug into your electronic cluster harness. (well not exactly plug in, unless u get a plug off another unit and put on it) What you would exactly need depends on what you have. it fits where the original 3rd gen camaro cluster sits... (although there is supposed to be a piece of smoked plexi that goes over the face) you then hook it up to the proper sensors which in a 91 should all be digital anyhow. and then if you have an electronic speedo (VSS) you pretty much just hook it up to that. then you calibrate it. all it is are digital readouts.. they don't much care what car they are in as they are all universal. the only thing that makes it for thirdgens is the design of the PCB board that is cut to fit the third gen camaro cluster. Dunno what your "research" told you or where you got it from.. but i Have one. and i know how it works lol

Edit

On the early thirdgens there is more work involved than in the later ones. Mostly because more stuff was mechanical. In the later thirdgens it should pretty much be plug and play since most of it was all electronic anyhow.
