Is this cam ok

I plan on boosting for my final mod, but first I would like to play around with the engine.

I have ported/siamesed plenum, runners and manifold. I am going to be getting AFR 180cc heads and comp cams XR269HR cam. Is this cam going to work with boost? I plan on about 5-9 lbs.

The cam specs are:

Duration At 0.05 218 224
Lobe Lift 0.33 0.335
Lobe Separation 112

Supercharging or turbocharging? They require different cams.

Sorry. Turbocharging.
I haven't full decided if it will be turbocharged. I just want boost.

If I am going to boost the car, what would be better for my climate? I live in Dallas where the heat gets to 100+ for the summer, and usually gets to an average of mid 30s - low 40s. We are about 600ft abouve see level, so the oxygen is pretty dense.

The cam is a great middle of the road cam. Not exactly optimum for anything in particular, but will work in mild NA and boosted apps better then most.

What’s better for your climate depends more on your packaging then anything else.

Don't want to sound stupid, but what do you mean packaging? Are you talking jet hot coating?
