slp runners problem

slp runners problem
Has anyone had any problems getting the injector clips to fit with the slp type runners. If so how did you get it to work.

Never. I usually get the bottom runners on and leave some play in the runners so I can get the fuel rails & injectors in. Then I turn the injectors for best access when installing the clips. After I put my plentum on, I snug everything up to proper torque. Then I snap the clips on.

I actually had an issue where my racetronix injectors (60#'ers) terminal was hitting on a few (maybe 2 injectors). I just gave the inside of the runner and a little more love on the injector terminal. I'm not talking hundreths of an inch...I'm talking some very light filing...just to eliminate the actual interference of the two parts.

I got the runners in place and the fuel rail snuged down and now two of the injectors power wire clips won't go on there is not enough room between them in the injectors no mater what way I turn them. I would have to grind through the runner to have enough room. it is the injectors on the back left and the front right. I am open to suggestions.

What injectors are you running? With stock or Bosch injectors I was able to rotate the injectors slightly to get plenty of clearance for the electrical connectors. -Bill
