Nitrous my friend. You basically just answered the question of; What can I use nitrous on my car for?

Re: cheap power???

but having to go more in depth to the engine for support to the seals like you should do with having nitrous and properly maintaining the structure of your engine, an in depth build for seals would cost just about as much as a small nitrous kit alone

Okay, then replace your heads with some stock vortecs and get a vortec TBI intake manifold. 30-40 instant always available ponies. I think lol.

Your heads on that TBI motor are what is mostly killing you, along with the 400cfm carb.

Unfortunately, power doesn't come cheap. Personally, I'd rather build the motor to put out more power than go with nitrous. I've always seen nitrous as an easy way to blow up a motor. Start checking tech articles on this site or other f-body sites and see what others have done and what their results were.

Nitrous is like a razor in a candy bag if used the wrong way. Here's the thing though, it can also be used in a completely safe manner if you know a bit of info about your car, as in CR, CFM on the carb or TPI, or TBI, whether or not you can use an extra fuel atomization source to mix with the nitrous before entering the intake, and what octane fuel you run. Also if the setup has a WOT connection and a couple of other choice additions to the package then you can easily hit a 50-75 shot safely. Dry and Wet also has a lot to do with it........

Or you can go the bolt on route, find some headers, work your HEI a bit, advance your timing, open up your airfilter housing with an aftermarket, get some underdrive pullys, an a/c delete pulley for weight loss, a beefier cam, you might be getting close.
