New to nitrous and little afraid. I got a well built stroker but want a little more umph at the track. What could i expect from a 100 or 150 shot and what are the odds of blowing my motor also. thank for any input

Re: Nitrous

my uncle dropped 1.5 second off his et with a 150 shot tho he only had a stockish 350 only had forged SRP pistions ran that way for 2 years only thing he did was keep checking his plugs (said it was the window to the cylinder) and made sure everything worked properly. only reason he stopped was because he went to a Twin turbo setup

Re: Nitrous

100-150 shot is fairly small so i wouldnt be worried at all. especially if you have it a little beefed up. just pay attention to your gauges and when u hear an unfamiliar noise, let off. or your motor will be done after 4 passes like mine. i was running a 500 shot my first time with no2 and man was i dumb.

Re: Nitrous

N20 on > 2900 rpms. N20 on > 24 mph also be able to turn it off at redline as in a controller. spark retard as well and cooler plugs. again with a controller. my ecu supports all that. arm switch on ecu knows what to do.

Re: Nitrous

its all about air fuel ratio. a 100 shot is cool. a 150 shot is pushing it a tiny bit. anything over that is pushing an engine. air fuel ratio is the biggest deal. is the motor forged? was it set up for nitrous?
