I am about to start a build on my 1983 TA. I want to take my time and develop the little powerhouse over the next 3 years. For starters. Which engine should I start with 350 or 400.
I want to do a twin turbo set up on it. Want to keep it street legal but barely. It will be my weekend warrior and track car. I want to get the most out of the engine so which one will serve my purposes better?

Look at the bore of the block, then look at the amount of material that is between the bore itself, and the cylinder head bolts, then ask yourself which one would seal better under boost...

I would do a 350 block. They are proven to be stronger blocks than factory 400's.

Use an OEM lsx engine, stick a pair of oil-less comp turbos by the mufflers in the rear, and plumb coolant to them. This setup is proven 500RWHP on 93 octane minimum, and very reliable.
