to install or not to install
I am looking for opinions. I have a 89 gta with about 35000 miles on a stock engine with headers no cats and magnaflow exhaust. I also have a p1sc supercharger. Should I install it on the car? Do you think the engine can handle it? Any opinions would be helpful. I do not want to destroy the engine. Thanks.

Frankly, I'd just replace the engine with a high-ouput alternative, good heads, cam, etc. Stock anything in these cars is anemic.

The P1SC kit for Thirdgens was designed around the stock motor. You will not have a problem running the stock kit at all. You will probably make around 10psi It comes with an FMU and inline pump booster. If you wanna get the most out of it, do injectors, in tank upgrade to 255, MSD Boost retard box and a tune. 400HP and 425TQ at the wheels should be easy. Not to mention Boost + TPI are fun as hell! Just be sure youre car is in good tune. Plugs, wires, sensors etc... A good free flowing exhaust will help get the air out. You should do a header back performance system to get the most out of it. More air in, more air must come out. After that, stall and gears. And you will have a really fun and fast stop light warrior.

I finally got my red GTA hard top, looked forever! Really happy with the car I found, it is nice and solid. Love it!
Good luck with whatever you decide to do with it.
