thinking turbo

OK so here's the deal I was just given a turbo from a 98 Saab 900 with the cross over pipe. I want to try fabricating it to my 89 T/A its a powertorque 305 that's been in the car about a year with a 5 speed. Right now it bone stock as far as power adders go. So my question do y'all think that motor will survive a small turbo with stock internals?

Yes a stock bottom end 305 will survive a small turbo, The Saab 900 turbo isn't really a big turbo to begin with and maybe to small for a 305.

Honestly I have no idea how to begin to go about putting a turbo in the car. From what I've seen there is no kit. I've never tried adding a turbo to a non turbo car. Where do you even start?

There are many on this site that have and are doing turbo builds, Even some that are doing it to stock engines, I suggest reading them, Check out some turbocharging books, When you have questions just ask,

I'll look them over right now I'm just in a research phase. I have to figure out if this is past my skill level.

So basically just try to sell it or give it to someone with a 4 banger car.
