Supercharger Pulley Anti-Slip Coatings?

Anyone tested or used any supercharger anti-slip pulleys? I have an 8 rib 3.70 pulley that I would like to put back on my car (makes 17 to 18 lbs of boost), but the belt slips. I thought about sending it out to get a anti-slip coating applied. I came across this company http://www.carbiniteracing.com/ that I thought I would call and see what they have to offer.

I also came across another company (JMSChip) that I found in FSC magazine. I called and talked to them, but you have to buy the pulley from them instead of sending one in. Currently they are 45 days out on there machining process.

Looking for other options/opinions. Thanks.

Seems like a good idea.

I see this drastically reducing the life of the belt though. But I could be wrong, maybe it just bites it hard.

Belts go thru a lot on engines, I have a 12 rib setup on mine. When it gets time to do motor work, I plan on using the Procharger serpentine (non AC) setup they have.
Not my car. Cost is about $440 for the brackets, you may also need a $75 spacer.

$440 for brackets!? I made my own setup using COMPcams LS1 idler pulley and 3/8" stainless steel mounting plate that I created in AutoCAD. Unfortunately I lost the CAD file tho. After I got everything mounted, I took the SS plate off and polished it all up.

Not saying there are not cheaper solutions.

But when you consider that the brackets i showed don't flex, then it seems worth it to me. Plus the time saved not fabricating.

i have TPI brackets and couldn't get my static tensioner setup to pull more than 6 psi.

I plan on buying them.

That idler pulley you show is using the accessory belt and not the blower belt. How does that help you with belt slip? Maybe I'm not getting it from the picture.

It doesn't...I was responding to dennisbernal91z non-AC setup.

Re: Supercharger Pulley Anti-Slip Coatings?

Hit the pulley with a sand blaster loaded with crushed iron slag.
That will rough it up a little and should help it stick.
