Hotchkis vs. Spohn

I want to add new lca's and a panhard rod to my car. Basicly I am looking at the Spohn units and the Hotchkis'. Which do you guys think would be better. They seem to be pretty comparable.

Honestly LCA's and Panhard bars are going to be pretty much the same. Only differences would be if they're adjustable. The biggest plus side would be that Steve Spohn supports our site and our hobby.

I have Spohns adjustable LCA's,panhardbar and torque arm and I'm very happy with it.The quality is second to none and the prices are fair.I would rather buy from someone I know than a big company anyway.I have used Hotckins stuff on my freinds 79 camaro and it was good stuff also, but Steve's stuff is also top notch.

I'd go with SSPE. Steve's parts are VERY good quality and don't cost as much as Hotchkis.

I'm running SSPE adjustable poly/moly LCAs, adjustable Panhard bar, LCA brackets and adjustable torque arm. I should have my SSPE SFCs soon. https://www.thirdgen.org/messageforum3/biggrin.gif

I have Spohn's LCA and PH bar and they are built very well. Another place to check out is BMR at www.bmrfabrication.com

Hotchkis is wayyy overpriced and overrated. You can get the lakewood boxed LCA for $80 from jegs or summit, which are very similiar at less then half the cost of the hotchkis items.

For the ultimate in traction (but very obnoxious to drive with every day, I only swap them for the track) is the Herb Adams sperical bearing LCA for $140.

Spohn has that too. I got mine with a Heim on 1 end and a poly on the other fro my LCA's and my panhard bar. Really good stuff.

I like Spohns stuff and his prices. His parts look more solidly built then Hotchkis's and at a cheaper price. But i do like the Hotchkis springs tho.
