replacement for those brittle vac lines anyone?

obviously after 21 years those little hard brittle black lines break with the slightest bend so no i gotta fix it. instead of just patching it with some tubing or replacing them with the same thing i rather use something like rubber or stainless steel. anyone have any good price wise sets that they wer happy with?

i personally would stay away from that kinda of line. 2 of my friends used silicone hoses and both of them had the vacuum lines actually collapse on them. i dont know if it was because both of the cars where turbo charged, but none the less your better off just replacing the lines with new rubber lines

re reading your statement are you talking about the rubber vacuum line are the hard plastic fittings

i say stock. lasted 21 years, will last another 21, american engineering.. The hard plastic vac line i got at autozone by the fuel filters and oil filter section., and the rubber lines too.. i think regular autopart stores are cheaper...i always request to go in the back with the dude to get rubber lines, cause half the time they'll cut you a line thats wrong and give you the run around. stainless steel? nahhh, unless you really really want them...but stock is favorable in my opinion...

This is why junkyards exist. I brake a hose, I head to my local yard and grab a long one from a random card and replace my broken one. No need to buy new.

every time mine break i'll get some shrink tubing that has the hot glue inside and fix it like that. nice and clean.
