AGR high volume power steering pumps

anyone have any experience. or know of another hig vol or high press power steering pump? i not that long ago re did my whole power steering system. (astro van shaft, new pump, lines, steering box, high temp synthetic fluid) and guess what the damn pump is shitting itself (never buy parts store parts) so I'm looking for something beyond the factory grade stuff.

seems like if its ported and polished it would flow a bit more and hopefully provide a more consistent fluid pressure (mine now dies at low rpms. right when you really need power steering in low speed situations) makes u turns, parallel parking and turning around a real bitch, don't get me started on parking.

also probably pickup a new bracket http://www.jegs.com/i/Borgeson/153/802402/10002/-1

as my former ac car no longer has ac and for some reason that makes the power steering pump not quite line up now

Re: AGR high volume power steering pumps

Well, unless you are trying to make the steering feel lighter / less feedback you won't need the high flow capability but that is kind of moot the picture looks like the pump doesn't come with the pressure relief valve & restrictor which I assume you will be reusing from old pump. Now your problem with loosing power steering at low speed combined with low engine speed yep that could all be due to pressure.
When I was looking for my replacement and asked for peoples experience with the pump you are looking at I got mixed feedback so I skipped it.
If you are looking for something nice i suggest Turn-One products http://www.turnone-steering.com
If you don't want it that fancy I personally just default to AcDelco Professional product line. I've only had 1 bad product from them over the years.
