New tool for the box I'm absolutely impressed with this new Pittsburgh 21pc. combo. SAE/Metric "Go Thru " Socket set. Very heavy pieces/very well made. What I really like about it is the ratchets short throw. Takes about 1/8" before it clicks. The price started at $29.99 cut to $19.99 then a 20% discount so it came to $17.39. It even converts to a standard 3/8"ratcht and 1/4" bit holder/driver. I have many Harbor Freight "Pittsburgh" tools and have never had one disappoint me . Even at this price. http://imagizer.imageshack.us/v2/800...913/VSsdt9.jpghttp://imagizer.imageshack.us/v2/800...538/Yyk71s.jpg http://imagizer.imageshack.us/v2/800...537/rtPbUQ.jpghttp://imagizer.imageshack.us/v2/800...537/mSBhma.jpg |
Re: New tool for the box Yep, I have a 3/4 socket set as well as a large (up to 2.5in as I recall) wrench set from them as well...abused the heck out of them for 20 years when my dad had his bottom dumps and transfer running. I'm sure I'd have been laughed out of a Truck Shop though, lol! |
Re: New tool for the box Thanks for the review. I was looking at that set the other day in the circular. I might have to ride to Chattanooga and pick up a set. |
Re: New tool for the box That right there would be awesome for plug changes with headers. Still have no problem with my double offset box wrench though. http://imagizer.imageshack.us/v2/800...537/rtPbUQ.jpg |
Re: New tool for the box Good idea Joe , I could use a set of double offset box wrenches for my collection. Maybe a ratcheting set ? |
Re: New tool for the box Ive hat that setup for years. Got mine at summit racing. use it now and then in tight stops. |
Re: New tool for the box Good to know. Thanks for the review. |
Re: New tool for the box Had a set of snap on DOS wrenches for like 25 years. Pricey but no busted knuckles with them. Ratcheting wrenches would take away their best attribute, being slim for tight spots. I can work a wrench pretty fast without it. |

I had a few tools but ever since I bought my Camaro (8 years ago)I've been adding to them at an very "accelerated" rate. This one for Christmas = http://www.powerstationusa.com/brand...php?mod=HJ2500 $99.99 at Costco |
Re: New tool for the box Bought the same set at the same price from Harbor freight, I have bought a ton of tools from them |
