I'm wanting to build an Auto X Third Gen

I have a 1986 Camaro Sport Coupe with the 2.8 but want to eventually swap it out with an Aluminum 5.3 when the time comes. What are the most important things with these cars to focus on to build a good performer? I'm already looking at Federal 595rsr's on my 2001 Z06 wheels for it. Its still on its factory wheels as of now till funds are allocated and I have made a decision. I've also been looking at SFC's, Weight Jacks, Koni Yellows, Wonder Bars, and 4th gen Rear ends. What brand is the best for the wonder bars and the SFC's?

The best design for sfc i believe is not produced any more. Umi sfc been sufficient for my TA in autox duty. Mine pretty much has most of your listed items. If you stay in FS class then choices for brakes and wheels are limited. And motor/trans as well. Mine is built just to enjoy autox and has the sfc, weight jacks, koni shocks, 4th gen rear, ls1, t56, wonder bar, strut brace and c5 wheels.
Pretty much first items is to sort steering/driveline(make sure not wore out), shocks, tires, sfc, wonder bar.

I think DSE subframe connectors are the best on the market right now for our thirdgens.

I would avoid coil overs, sub frame connectors are a must, and a watts link I find does less body flexing than the pan hard bar during power slides. I wouldn't go with Koni's unless you can afford to change them every month! And I do believe you can find a super cheap set of one inch lowering springs. Other than that all the other suspension would be for your power train IE Trans then engine! Also Poly mounts make your car shake funny without sub fram connectors! That is how I got started... Stock 305 with nothing but suspension upgrades!
And yoy may want to do a LT1 conversion to your front and rear brakes cause the stock ones barley stop the car around the track and once they wrm up they are damn near useless. I would stick with Slotted and non drilled rotors jusr becasue all the brake dust will clog all that **** up without ceramics and they do not work well cold and daily driving!
