IAC Plumbing Pics For HSR!

2 Attachment(s)
After some thinking on the best way to plum my IAC coolant cross over, I came up with this setup. You will find pics and parts needed, if your having trouble with your HSR. It was my intention to make it functional without multiple modifications.

Items Used
1 1/2 npt to -6AN Adapter
1 120 degree -6AN Hose End
1 90 degree -6AN Hose End
1 1/4 npt to -6AN Adapter
1ft -6AN Hose

The IAC housing will have to be modified by cutting the bottom tube to 1/2 inch from the base. Tap the bottom tube only, using 1/4 npt pipe tap. I used the 120 degree fitting coming from the manifold, and the 90 at the TB. The 120 degree end will clear the serpentine bracket. This also will allow you to plumb your heater control valve just like the factory.

Hope this may help.

Looks pretty and very well done but kind of pointless to even keep it unless you live in the artic or something.

like said, it looks great, as does the rest of the engine, but kind of pointless and it actually hurts performance, because of the hot air coming in, rather than cool air

I love making stuff. Looks awesome, I just cut the entire coolant passage off my BBK tho.

Thanks For Replys!

Just trying to keep a clean functional install. I have even maintained cruise control and a/c functions.

why not install the egr first? that will atleast give you something for a street car. BTW I will say that is a very good clean job though

EGR Reply

The main reason of the lack of egr provisions on my HSR. All emission functions were eliminated from the engine. The wire harness was modified by removing the connections at the ecm. A 2 pulse VSS was added to the transmission output shaft, so later I could use aftermarket gauges. My state in a non-emission state, so that what was not an issue. Taken the time it is making for a very clean install…
Thanks
