Intake for 383 with trick flow heads?

I'm looking into the stealth ram. The problem is my heads need 1265 gaskets and according to the stealth ram Bible on here "the stealth ram ports are designed for a Felpro 1205 gasket. Larger ports will not fit." So what can I do? Port out a brand new intake? What are the other options that I can use with the stock ecm and harness for a similar price?

That is incorrect. 1265 is a felpro for a Ford head

Sbc should be 1205

1266 is twice as thick as 1205 but .10" taller. Basically thicker 1206

It will depend on the deck height and port alignment if you need thicker gasket or not but the 1205 will work fine

You can have some mismatch on the head side. 1205 to a 1206 head can work fine

Thanks! I was under the impression the 1266 was a number indicating the diameter of the ports. In other words I can use a 1205 gasket and press on with my stealth ram idea?

Yes most likely. Can you post a pic of your stealth ram base?

There might not be a whole lot of material on the top of the base to seal against the head port, but as long as its not boosted it will be fine, just use rtv around the top of the port on both sides of the gasket

Measure the material height on the stealth ram base from bottom of port to top of manifold port material to see. Its gotta be more than 2.21 which from my memory it is tall enough to seal, just dont port it to 1206/1266 cuz its thin IF you have the early style base casting

I actually havnt bought the stealth ram yet. Just in the beginning stages of researching it. I got about 2K to blow on a good intake and a tune.
