I guess I will add this onto the list of stupid stuff i have done. When I got the car last summer it had a bad alignment and snow tires on it, I didnt really drive the car too much until september so I just left it alone and drove it the way it was all winter. Now it is summer and I have my new springs, 4 new wheels and tires, and a set of rear shocks wainting to be installed along with an alignment aptm. for next week since I knew I needed to replace them...so what do I do? ROAD TRIP for the 4th....bad bad idea...lets just say I heard a flapping noise coming from the right front tire about 60 miles into the trip, drove for another 10 miles until a gas station came up, pulled over, looked at the tire and this is what I saw....I about had a heart atack. I couldn't believe that the tire actually didn't blow out on me and cause me to loose control. I had to call my Dad and have him drive me out a spare set of wheels that I had in the garage along with a jack and tools(no spare or no tools in my car). So here is the lessons to be learned...just because you need a place to put an Amp doesn't mean the spare and jack should go, you should always have a basic tool kit with you, and for the love of ***, always inspect your car before you leave...esp. if your tires are getting worn down.

Ouch, good thing you heard it. I had a blow out once runing 80 mph on the pass front of the car, the car jurked hard but never offered to skid or lose control. I had to have hit something in the road, the tires were in good shape, and al the sudden bamm dud dud dud thud, The bad thing was I was in the left lane on a 8 lane hwy, I had about an inch of side wall left when I got the car off the road. And that was a 15in wheel, if I had 16's I would of been buying new wheels.

Thats what happens to people who try to save money by putting JUNK tires on their cars.

you should be tied up and thrown out the door of a car going over a bridge, to fall to your doom

there's always a REASON something happends.. a bad alignment WILL screw your tires... Aviator's condition, maybe they were cheap tires.. but don't assume that unless they say it.

Look at the posted pictures. Just well taken care of tires.

those are probably the four he took OFF the car, which means they were screwed anyways, so why take care of them (the tires on the RIGHT of those, however, look new)

I guess you are a user of junk tires. Also if you think the tires on the right look new, then I know you are a junk tire user.:lala:

They aren't new looking, they look slightly newer/better than the others. I really wouldn't be using any of them, they barely have any treads.

No they were not cheap tires, If you read the post, I said I must of hit something on the road that cut the tire. They are the tires I run most of the time, they cost like 400 for a set and there 15's so that is expensive for 15's unless you are raceing, the slicks on the monteCarlo cost alot more.

This doesn't have to do with appearance and detailing, and its turning into a flame war so I'm locking it.
