red tail lights where do i get one of those kits that converts the rear turn signals and reverse to all red? Do i have to paint them or something? |
Re: red tail lights You gotta paint them. I used aerosol model car paint on the inside and outside of the lenses. Testors Translucent Candy Apple Red. I picked it up at Hobby Lobby. |
Re: red tail lights that's not the answer I wanted, oh well. I'd like a solution that seems a little more permanent. |
Re: red tail lights Trust me, it's permanent....and very simple. |
Re: red tail lights do a search dude, you will see that as stated above that painiting is the best and easiest option, cant imagine another way of doing it |
Re: red tail lights well, i'm convinced enough to go to the jy and get a spare pair of tail lights to practice on. |
Re: red tail lights that klearz company is going to start selling them, do a search and you will find them. i doubt they will be cheap though |
Re: red tail lights Does anyone have pics of painted ones? Do they come out looking uniform in color (especially worried about the amber part)? I may want to leave my backups white, not sure. I'm thinking smoked red will cover a lot mroe than bright red. |

Re: red tail lights hey i did mine about 3 years ago still looking good cant even tell if your close up i didnt do my reverse lights one the marker (amber) and no need to practice did it on mine the first time |
Re: red tail lights I had another member paint my amber sections red on the inside, he had done 2 sets already, and he offered to do mine. It's been a few years now, they still look pretty damn good. It's pretty close to the red color of the brake portion. I have a set of the Klearz ordered though. New taillight assemblies, if you can find them, are about $500 a side. Best thing with the Klearz, you get to spec out what color you want in each section. |

Re: red tail lights i did mine the other week, came out a little orange still, but i may paint the outside a little and spray the black out spray lightly on top of the whole assembly. |
Re: red tail lights i just wanna try around before i start the led thing im planning. |
Re: red tail lights Obviously not my car, but belongs to a local club member. Painted on the outside & looks good to me! http://i119.photobucket.com/albums/o...TailLights.jpg |
