Armor All Wheel Protectant

Anyone use this stuff? Supposed to be good to make cleaning the wheels easier, and creates a barrier between the wheel and brake dust.

I picked some up. I have some chrome IROC rims that i don't want to get messed up (car sits out in the elements).

Says protection lasts up to 4 weeks.

I already use Formula 113 wax that says works well on chrome. But was wondering what others' thoughts are on the Armor All Wheel Protectant.

i hear the stuff is suppose to be really good, but iv also heard its not the best thing to keep on wheels for extended amount of time. Personally i would just layer your wheels really thick in wax and i would think your be good. good luck

im not saying it doesnt work, but i wouldnt want to let the stuff sit on the wheels for tooooo long as it might eat away at the chrome.

Re: Armor All Wheel Protectant

when mine were still chrome id buy some of that clear gel wax and mix it with water so it sprayed and then id hose em down 1-2 times a month with CLR in the spray bottle to fend off rust.

did that for about 2 years then painted them black, chrome sucks ;)

for storage like my chrome pipes on my bike, id coat em with a heavy layer of paste turttle wax and leave it, the clean when out of storage. Wax won't hurt chrome but never leave it on paint like that.

Only problem with armorall stuff is they use allot of water bases products, which don't hold up to the elements. Just washes away.

Like their tire/rubber shine blows, BlackMagic tire wet is nice thick oily stuff that makes em shine and stay that way, also works well to keep a dash/seats supple. Hose it down and leave in the hot sun and watch it slowly get sucked up, keepin the pleather soft. Or bring it back to life after years of abuse n turing rock hard.

Re: Armor All Wheel Protectant

that was my concern. I didn't see anything on the label about it being chrome safe

My 2 cents worth here, Find a Meguires or Mothers product. I don't trust Armor All.
