November 2018 COTM **Nomination Thread** This thread is for November 2018 COTM **Nominations**. PLEASE READ AND UNDERSTAND THE COTM NOMINATION RULES BEFORE PROCEEDING TO NOMINATE A MEMBER’S RIDE FOR COTM. This thread is a Nomination Thread to nominate cars that will compete for this month's Car of the Month honor. The 12 (or less) most popularly nominated cars will be compiled into a *Voting Thread* in a couple of weeks. If you do not nominate a member's car for COTM, you can still second or third (fourth, fifth, so on) someone else's nomination. Cars must have at least a second nomination in order to make the Voting Thread.

Re: November 2018 COTM **Nomination Thread** I'd like to nominate socalkidd and his awesome 1987 IROC-Z. It's all original and only has 23,000 miles. It's a TPI 305 and a 5 speed. I've only seen a few pictures of the car, but would love to see more of it! https://cimg0.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.thi...4fb6585385.jpg |
Re: November 2018 COTM **Nomination Thread** I will nominate Tibbo and his 91 Z28 vert. Lots of detailed work in this one.https://cimg3.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.thi...2ad5271b60.jpg |
Re: November 2018 COTM **Nomination Thread** I will second Tibo. A lot of work went into this car and it shows Great pick. |
Re: November 2018 COTM **Nomination Thread** ^beat me to it for Tibo, I didn’t see too much info on socalkidd, but car looks good...so I’ll throw in a new one with cehbra and his 91 firebird https://cimg6.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.thi...42f090d996.png |
Re: November 2018 COTM **Nomination Thread** I will second socalkidd’s 87 It’s identical to my 87 5-speed that I loved owning minus the hatch louvers (I didn’t have those).. I’m psyched to see Tibo’s post in the voting thread.. the build thread is very impressive.. you should see the engine bay! Very detailed work on the whole car |

Re: November 2018 COTM **Nomination Thread** I did not realize he had won last year. Is that against the rules? |
Re: November 2018 COTM **Nomination Thread** If you want to know if somebody has won then go to the COTM Winners List sticky thread and do a search for the person's user name. |

Not against the rules, but my personal opinion is that your car should be, "win once and done". We have so many virtually unknown 3rd gens on this site which deserve to be showcased in COTM. It's very easy to go back through the list of winners and find a nice car to nominate, because they are all nice cars. Harder to find a nice one which hasn't shared the limelight and give it a chance to be exposed. And to me, that is the whole point of COTM. Just my personal opinion, though. No offense to anyone. |

I agree it would make sense as a rule. Just pointing it out that I don’t think it is technically a rule.. |

Re: November 2018 COTM **Nomination Thread** I’d say since Abubaca’s car is so dope, it’s resend.. I did wonder if it was an auto correct thing myself.. |

Re: November 2018 COTM **Nomination Thread** So, based on resend, I'll second ABUBACA. If the nomination is rescinded, then DANGIT!!!!! |
Re: November 2018 COTM **Nomination Thread** I'd like to nominate dlinger and his daughter's 84 Z28. https://cimg5.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.thi...03d3b633e2.jpg |

Re: November 2018 COTM **Nomination Thread** So, for the record, this is my call... We're not going to include dlinger in this month's COTM. Having not been "sold" on the submitted image and the degree of separation (daughter's car) I looked into this submission. Fortunately, dlinger has a build thread for this Camaro. Looking over the thread, I slowly came around to the work put into the car and the transformation so far making it worthy of a COTM Nomination. However, availability of quality pics is an issue and by dlinger's own admission, he is lacking in quality pictures at the moment. Add to that, he's got some more pressing issues to attend to and ought not be concerned with our Car of the Month contest at this time. There's always next year. Keep up the good work. The car is coming along very nicely. Dave. |
