Removing Door Panels

Alright, I am completly new to working with cars. I need to take off my door panels to fix my power door locks, and my passenger side window clinking once when it gets about half way down.

I went to take off door panels, and realized, I have no idea how, if anyone who's done it could help me I'd be really gratefull, thanks a ton- Chris

Oops, sorry about that, i just tried normal searches, and everything just said to take off door panels, but not how. I have checked tech articles for other things, but didn't think of it this time, thanks a ton.

There is a clip on the backside of the window crank odd shaped kinda like

You should be able to see it with a flashlight, and pop it off using a screwdriver.

THANK YOU SO MUCH, lol i was just about to post again, I have all off except one 1 of the 3 tabs on the top plastic panel, and that handle...cant get last part of the top plastic because the handle is holding it too well in place I think....well im gonna go try that, thanks

=( i cant get it...ive tried every way i can...no flashlight though....cant find one, lol was tryin 2 c it with cell phone...its not bright enough, im assuming the clip is between the 2 plastic parts, not behind all of the handle..am I right about this?

(ive tried behind the whole handle, and between the main handle and circular piece of plastic...cant get it)

They make a tool especially for removing door handles, should be able to get one at an auto parts store for 5 bucks. Looks like this:

It's a "C" chaped clip that you have to push off in order to remove the handle. If I remember correctly, the easiest way to see it is to push the thin plastic part back against the door panel, squish your face up against the panel, and look in the gap between the thin plastic part and the door handle with a flashlight. That was a long sentence, sorry. It takes a small, thin flat screwdriver to get it off. Even with that, it tries to just rotate sometimes instead of popping off. Never used the special tool for this, although I imagine it would make it quite easy...

get that tool that charlie posted, it works great!

Got them both!

Used a paper clip bent into a hook, it was between the two pieces of plastic. First one was a lot harder than the second.

Fixed both doors power locks too, was a pain because one was bent so bad it wasn't even hooked to the actuator, it was just hanging loose. Had to take that off and re-bend it to make it look like other, then get the part from the actuator hooked to it, the put it in the hole for the lock....Then lube all of it up real well.

Now that I have the doors pretty well taken apart I'm tempted to do a few other things, keyless entry and tinting windows would be really cool.

I think I'll look into what's needed for keyless.
